The New Quintet!

Our Story

The New Quintet is a young jazz ensemble made up of five musicians, all under 21, united by a shared passion for carrying the jazz tradition into the future. Rooted in the Hard Bop and Young Lions tradition of old, the group draws inspiration from the language of the greats while bringing a fresh, energetic perspective of its own.

With performances across more than 20 venues on the East Coast, including Carnegie Hall, Barclays Center, The Howard Theatre, Emmet’s Place, and Rudy’s Jazz Room, the group is quickly establishing itself as an emerging voice in jazz. With a combined social following of over 70,000, The New Quintet is equally committed to bringing jazz to a new generation of listeners.
